I had the incredible opportunity to begin my professional journey with KongaPay as a software engineering intern. During my internship, I was able to dive deep into various aspects of software development, including understanding the architecture of payment systems, contributing to live projects, and collaborating closely with a dynamic engineering team. The experience sharpened my problem-solving skills and gave me a solid foundation in coding practices, application development, and teamwork.

Working with Konga has been an amazing journey and a wonderful experience. Coming into the system for my Primary Assignment as a Youth Corps member with little or no experience, I was assigned the role of a Human Resources Intern where I was entrusted with opportunities and responsibilities which helped me accelerate my growth. 

During my NYSC service year, I worked as a Human Resources Intern and later as a Customer Service Intern at Konga Online Nigeria Limited, where I gained hands-on experience in HR management and customer relations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Human Resources Intern, I actively supported various HR functions, including recruitment and selection, where I assisted in interview scheduling and talent acquisition. I played a key role in employee onboarding by facilitating orientation sessions and ensuring a smooth transition for new hires. Additionally, I was responsible for maintaining and updating employee records in the HR database with accuracy, which required a high level of attention to detail. Through this experience, I gained in- depth knowledge of HR processes, labor laws, and corporate policies. I developed strong communication and interpersonal skills through cross-team collaboration and refined my ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR operations.

My journey began as an intern, where I had the invaluable opportunity to immerse myself in real-world software engineering processes over the past year.
During my internship, I gained hands-on experience with advanced technologies, including Docker, DevOps practices, and command-line interfaces (CLI). This exposure allowed me to enhance my skills and deepen my understanding of both frontend and backend development. I contributed to various projects, collaborating with a talented team of senior engineers who mentored me and pushed me to become a better software engineer.
