Konga launched its first three pickup centres in key areas of Lagos: Victoria Island, Surulere, and Ikeja.

NOVEMBER 2013
Konga.com crashed for 45 minutes on November 29, 2013, due to unprecedented traffic driven by its Black Friday promotion.

Konga was acquired by the Zinox Group, laying the foundation for Konga’s future expansion.

Nick Imudia joined Konga and was appointed by the Board as CEO.

APRIL 2018
Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, founder of Yudala, is appointed Co-CEO of Konga, to lead alongside Nick.

Merger with Yudala

Konga was merged with Zinox Group’s retail company, Yudala, Nigeria’s first omnichannel retail platform founded in November 2014. A new company logo and identity was formed.

The months that followed allowed for the integration of both companies' logistics, technology, and customer service infrastructures, broadened Konga’s market reach into previously underserved regions by leveraging Yudala’s existing customer base.

MARCH 2019
Konga launched Konga Travel and Tours, an IATA-certified travel agency.

This diversification allowed Konga to extend its services beyond retail and into the travel sector, offering Nigerian travellers a reliable platform for booking flights, hotels, and holiday packages at competitive rates.
