KEMI OKUSANYA
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Kemi is a tested business manager skilled in the areas of
business strategy, key account management, business
leadership/team management, and project supervision. She is a
natural team player with unique leadership, communication, and
interpersonal qualities. She holds about 18 years of work
experience across various roles. She is presently the Chief
Executive Officer of Hydrogen Payment Services Company Limited
where her responsibilities included amongst others as the
chief orchestrator of the business reporting to the Hydrogen
Board and member of The Access Corporation Committee of CEO’s.
Her responsibility cuts across people, business growth,
operational processes, technology, strategy, value creation,
risk and compliance. She is a founding team member of Hydrogen
(a payment service startup) with a mission to propel Africa
into a brighter future.
She had previously worked with Visa. At Visa, she was responsible for the overall business, team, and operations of the region. Member of the Sub-Sahara Leadership Team and reporting directly to the Sub-Sahara President. Working with 56 partner banks and Fintech partners, payment acceptance across 800,000+ merchant locations, leading a matrix team of over 30 persons.
She also worked with MoneyGram International where she was the Head of Anglophone Africa She was responsible for the health and welfare of the Company's brand, people, agents, and consumers. General manager for a 23-country region, 23,000 brick-and-mortar locations & ATMs. Overseeing the efficient delivery of the P&L, management of diverse partner relationships, and continuous performance of the team. Before this position, she had worked for 10 years with Zenith International Bank in various roles.
